Three Must-Try Brunches in Downtown Manhattan

New York City does a mean brunch, and residents of the condos at One Wall Street are blessed with a cornucopia of places to partake, right on their doorstep. Fish tacos, chocolate chip pancakes, and unlimited bubbles are on the menu at these three brilliant brunch spots in Lower Manhattan.

Yves | 385 Greenwich Street

Paris neighborhood cafe culture is the inspiration behind Yves, an effortlessly chic eatery fitted out with midcentury furniture, Jean Prouvé-style custom millworks—and decorated with Parisian street scenes. The brunch menu alone will transport you to the City of Lights—think duck hash (made with tender confit) or Croque Madame sandwiches oozing gruyere. For something sweeter, Yves offers indulgent chocolate chip pancake plates (lauded by Foursquare in their 13 Best Places for Pancakes in Tribeca). Perhaps the greatest French export of all is champagne, so if you’re brunching for a special occasion, ask for a bottle of the Charles Heidsieck. La vie est belle.

Harry’s | 1 Hanover Square

Speaking of fizz, old-school steakhouse Harry’s does an unlimited champagne brunch, allowing you 90 minutes of bottomless bubbles (which you can also mix with the likes of cassis or elderflower cordial). The dishes at Harry’s are never less than exceptional, and the brunch menu includes divine French toast (ingeniously crusted in cornflakes and coconut), a first-class steak and eggs (well, this is a legendary steak joint, after all), and one of the best eggs benedicts in NYC. Keep the party going with a sharing decanter of Harry’s Famous Martini at the adjoining cocktail bar.

Malibu Farm | 89 South Street

Malibu Farm founder Chef Helene Henderson started out doing cooking classes and farm dinners in her backyard in Malibu before the business organically blossomed into this wonderfully wholesome farm-to-table restaurant. Local and small farm produce is used wherever possible, including on the brunch menu, which is packed with epicurean delights such as DIY black sea bass tacos, a roasted baby carrot salad sprinkled with pistachios, and a piquant three-egg shakshuka studded with feta. It wouldn’t be brunch without a drink; given the time of year, treat yourself to a Spring Spritz—an ambrosial combination of prosecco, sake, yuzu, butterfly pea flower, and honey.

If you don’t want to venture too far from home, residents at One Wall Street will be able to pick up their favourite brunch essentials right downstairs at the brand new Whole Foods. Whole Foods is on track to open its doors this November!
