One Wall Street Unveils a Landmark Plaque Macklowe Properties, in partnership with the New York Landmarks Preservation Foundation, unveiled a historic plaque at One Wall Street on Sept. 27, celebrating the building’s noteworthy architectural heritage. Tom Krizmanic, foundation chair, commended the meticulous restoration of the facade and the creation of interiors that resonate with the original design. Recognized as one of NYC’s premier Art Deco skyscrapers, and a significant work by Ralph Thomas Walker, the 1931 building was designated a New York City landmark in 2001 and later added to the Wall Street Historic District in 2007.
